PROGRESS Software has restored access to its ShareFile Storage Zones Controller after a four-day suspension due to a credible external security threat that was identified on July 10, 2026. The threat was linked to the exploitation of a high severity path traversal vulnerability affecting versions 5.x and 6.x of the Storage Zones Controller. Progress released patched versions (5.12.5 and 6.0.2) to resolve the issue and confirmed there was no evidence of unauthorized access to customer data. The company has chosen to delay the disclosure of the CVE identifier to allow customers sufficient time to apply the patch.
