Apple Unveils M5 iPad Pro: 3.5X Faster AI, Wi-Fi 7, and New C1X Cellular Modem

Apple has officially unveiled the iPad Pro powered by the M5 chip, with claims of up to a 3.5× performance increase in AI-driven workflows and up to 5.6× greater computational performance versus the M1-powered model. According to Apple, the device also introduces Apple’s N1 wireless chip, enabling Wi‑Fi 7 for the first time, while cellular models use the C1X data chip, delivering 50% faster connectivity and 30% lower power consumption.

Pre-orders begin today, with official availability starting 22 October 2025, and prices starting at $999 USD in Space Black and Silver across 11‑inch and 13‑inch display sizes. The M5 architecture is described as expanding memory bandwidth to support a wide range of on‑device AI applications with notable efficiency. Apple also refreshed the accessories lineup, including a new Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro, with the Pencil Pro retaining a $129 USD price point.
