Resemble AI Raises $13 Million for AI Threat Detection

Resemble AI has announced a $13 million strategic investment to advance its generative AI threat-detection platform, bringing the company’s total funding to $25 million. The California-based startup says its DETECT-3B Omni model can identify AI-based threats in real time across audio, video, still images and text, and it supports dozens of languages.

Resemble AI notes its solutions are already used by Fortune 500s and government agencies, with the funding round including investors such as Berkeley CalFund, Comcast Ventures, Craft Ventures, Google’s AI Futures Fund and Sony Innovation Fund among others. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate product development, expand globally and scale capabilities, while continuing to offer its Resemble Intelligence platform for multimodal analysis.

According to Sony Ventures, the investment helps address the cybersecurity need for trusted, transparent detection of deepfakes across audio and visual content.
