AWS re:Invent 2025: Agentic AI, Marengo 3.0 Video Model, and Visa Payment Partnership
As AWS re:Invent 2025 unfolds, TwelveLabs unveiled what it calls the “world’s most powerful” video-understanding model, Marengo 3.0, on the Amazon Bedrock platform, while Visa announced a partnership with AWS to advance Agentic Payments enabling AI services to securely conduct transactions on behalf of users.
The two companies will offer open blueprints on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to help developers build intelligent workflows, with Rubail Birwadker, Visa’s Senior Vice President of Global Growth, describing the initiative as the emerging “trust layer” of the agent economy. On the software and data front, AWS announced a partnership with S&P Global to integrate its trusted market, financial, and energy intelligence directly into customers’ AI workflows, enabled by the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Through two newly integrated MCP servers, S&P Global’s data can be accessed from Amazon Quick Suite, allowing AI agents to retrieve financials or earnings transcripts and access real-time energy market insights. Examples include Lyft using Claude and Bedrock to cut customer-service resolution times, Nissan’s SDV testing expansion, and BlackRock’s Aladdin migrating to AWS. December 2, 2025.
