CrowdStrike to Acquire Pangea to Launch AI Detection and Response (AIDR)

CrowdStrike has announced it will acquire Pangea, a company specialising in AI security, to extend its Falcon platform with AI Detection and Response (AIDR) for enterprise AI systems. The move, revealed at Fal[.]Con 2025, aims to address security challenges across AI models, agents and applications in workplace environments.

CrowdStrike plans to integrate Pangea’s capabilities to monitor, control and secure AI interactions across organisations’ infrastructure, presenting AIDR as an oversight tool across the AI lifecycle from development to end-user interactions. Pangea was founded in 2021 and has raised roughly $51 million in funding to date. The announcement coincides with Check Point’s plans to acquire Lakera, underscoring rising enterprise demand for safeguarding generative AI, large language models and autonomous agents.
