According to MM News, the Senate Standing Committee on Interior in Pakistan heard that hackers have defrauded several members of Parliament of hundreds of thousands of rupees through online scams, a revelation disclosed during the committee meeting chaired by Senator Faisal Saleem. The committee was told that the hacker group typically demanded amounts ranging between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000.

In one case, hackers withdrew Rs850,000 from Senator Dilawar Khan’s account, and Senator Falak Naz Chitrali lost Rs500,000 in two separate transactions. The briefing, reported on 6 November 2025, highlighted how various parliamentarians were deceived by online fraud schemes. The remarks were shared by Senator Saifullah Abro, who described the typical loss range and the actions taken by the hackers as part of the broader discussion of electoral and legislative security concerns.
