Supporting the future of the open web: Cloudflare is sponsoring Ladybird and Omarchy

Cloudflare has announced sponsorship of two independent, open source projects, Ladybird and Omarchy, as part of its effort to support the future open web. Ladybird is described as a new, independent browser built from scratch, with two main components: LibWeb and LibJS, and its alpha release is planned for 2026. Omarchy offers an independent development environment, providing a complete Arch Linux distribution that includes tools such as Neovim, Docker and Git out of the box.

Cloudflare stresses that its support comes with no strings attached and that the collaboration aligns with a broader commitment to a diverse, open Internet. The post notes that Omarchy 3.0 was released just last week, promising faster installation and better MacBook compatibility. Cloudflare’s involvement is framed as helping strengthen the open ecosystem, ensuring developers and users have more choice in how they browse and develop software.
