At Infosecurity Europe, Sher Baig emphasized the sector's vulnerability due to outdated infrastructure and a surge in cyber-attacks, noting that 93% of HCOs experienced at least one attack in 2025.
With legacy devices exposed to risks, experts recommend transitioning to proactive security measures, prioritizing device visibility, clinical risk assessment, and using AI for threat detection and response. The focus should also be on foundational security aspects like governance and workforce capability, enabling HCOs to withstand emerging AI-driven threats.
