FBI shuts down fake job sites targeting US clearance holders

These fake sites posed as consulting firms with bogus job listings to recruit individuals for sensitive information. This action coincides with warnings from the Five Eyes intelligence alliance about China's strategies to access classified data through deceptive job advertisements.

The fake websites used stolen identities and AI-generated profiles to appear valid, connecting to known job platforms. The Justice Department identified these sites through reports from suspicious targets, indicating there may be more such websites operating.
