Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Price Jumps to $29.99 with Ubisoft+ and Fortnite Crew Added
Microsoft has restructured Xbox Game Pass, with the Ultimate tier now priced at 29.99 per month and enhanced by Ubisoft+ Classics in partnership with Ubisoft and the Fortnite Crew subscription through Epic Games, alongside access to over 400 games and more than 75 day-one releases each year. Existing Core and Standard subscribers will be migrated automatically to the new Essential and Premium tiers, while pricing for those plans remains unchanged at 9.99 and 14.99 per month respectively.
The Ultimate tier also marks a return to fuller cloud streaming, with support for streaming at up to 1440p, and it ties into an enhanced Rewards with Xbox programme, allowing players to accumulate up to 100,000 reward points annually—equal to $100 in value—by playing games. For the Premium plan, content expands to over 200 titles across console, PC and cloud, while the plan excludes the Call of Duty franchise despite rival platform releases.
This shift underscores Microsoft’s cloud gaming and multi‑platform strategy for Xbox Game Pass. according to Microsoft, Microsoft confirmed that its cloud gaming feature has exited beta and will continue to evolve alongside its subscription tiers.
