Microsoft Gives U.S. University Students Free Microsoft 365 Personal

Microsoft has announced that it will provide all university students across the United States with a free one-year subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal. The plan includes the full suite of features, offering 1TB of OneDrive storage along with access to Microsoft Copilot AI applications. Notably, once the free year ends, students will be able to renew their subscription at half the standard cost, with renewal set at $50 per year (the standard price is $99.99 annually or $9.99 monthly).

Eligible U.S. university students can claim this offer by completing identity verification before 31 October 2025. Given the scale of the giveaway, some platforms may begin offering low-cost reselling of Microsoft 365 Personal accounts created through this programme, though such discounts typically require proper verification and Microsoft may request additional proof if irregularities arise.
