Suisun City Declares Emergency After Cyberattack Hits 911

SUISUN City officials declared a state of emergency on August 8 following a cyberattack that compromised the city’s emergency dispatch line and other critical IT systems. The attack began around 5:45 a.m. on Friday, resulting in the shutdown of the city's IT network. This incident disrupted essential public safety operations, including 911 routing and the dispatch for fire and police departments. In response, the dispatch team relocated to Solano County's second emergency dispatch center to handle calls from residents.
