A cyber attack has compromised approximately 2,380 patient test records at the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, linked to a larger NHS data breach. The breach involved third-party provider Synnovis and was reported to the trust in December 2025 as part of a wider incident from June 2024. The trust plans to inform affected patients once they are identified.
