Perth School Cyber Attack Exposes Student and Family Records

CyberSIXT Evidence Panel Source marked as original reporting

ST James Anglican School in Perth’s north has suffered a cyber attack involving unauthorised access to its computer systems. The school told parents that it had contained the incident and secured the affected systems, but attackers were able to access personal information belonging to students and their families.

The information relates to current and former students enrolled at the school since 2015. The report does not specify when the attack occurred, how the systems were accessed, whether the information has been published or misused, or how many people are affected.
