Microsoft unveils AI driven Project Perception for better defence

The article discusses the need for a new Cyber Stack in cybersecurity, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence (AI). Traditional security measures are becoming inadequate due to the evolving nature of cyber threats, which are increasingly automated and efficient. To address these challenges, Microsoft introduces Project Perception, a proactive security system that employs specialized agents to continuously learn and adapt to threats.

The system consists of Red team agents (simulating attacks), Blue team agents (detecting and responding to threats), and Green team agents (remediating issues), working collaboratively to enhance an organization's security posture. Project Perception emphasizes the importance of a multi-model architecture for optimizing security tasks, offering a blend of effective protection and cost efficiency. It aims to provide security teams with actionable insights, ultimately supporting the mission to safeguard organizations in an AI-driven landscape.
