Making the Internet observable: the evolution of Cloudflare Radar
Making Cloudflare Radar more visible, the five-year evolution has seen the Radar API, launched in 2022, enable developers to access data and build their own tools, while the platform has added capabilities around AI, routing, and security. According to Cloudflare Research, 2025 marked the launch of the Certificate Transparency section on Radar, expanding visibility into CT metrics and enabling deprecation of the Merkle Town CT dashboard launched in 2018.
In 2024, post-quantum encryption adoption on Radar rose from under 3% to just over 47%, driven by default support in major browsers and libraries. The site has also improved routing visibility, adding real-time BGP route visibility in 2025 and introducing AS-SET monitoring to help prevent route leaks. Not just visuals, Radar now offers programmatic access through its API and MCP server, and 14 languages were added in 2024 through Radar’s internationalisation journey. Visit radar.cloudflare[.]com to explore the data and use the Radar API or MCP server to incorporate Radar data into your own tools.
