Windows Server 2022 Support Ends 2026, Advises Upgrade to 2025

WINDOWS Server 2022 will exit mainstream support in October 2026 and transition to extended support until October 14, 2031. During extended support, Microsoft will provide security updates but no new features. Enterprises are encouraged to upgrade to Windows Server 2025, built on the Windows 11 codebase, which supports lossless in-place upgrades and offers enhanced AI-driven management features. Upgrading to Windows Server 2025 requires purchasing a license, as free upgrades are not supported.
