UKRAINIAN police arrested three suspects accused of hijacking 610,000 Roblox accounts and selling them for about $225,000 in profit, according to a press release published by Prosecutor General’s Office. The operation involved searches in Lviv and the seizure of cash, phones, computers, laptops, tablets, USB drives and other items.

The group, led by a 19-year-old from Drohobych with two accomplices, used stolen session cookies to access accounts and scanned more than 610,000 profiles to identify those with valuable in-game currencies or items, compiling 357 files of high-value accounts that were sold on Russian platforms for cryptocurrency payments.

The press release states that from October 2025 to January 2026, over 610,000 user accounts were checked and 357 high-value files were identified, with profits potentially reaching nearly 10 million UAH. Ukrainian police carried out 10 searches and detained a 44-year-old associate for drug possession, with suspects charged under theft by conspiracy and unauthorized interference in IT systems, facing up to 15 years in prison. The investigation remains ongoing to identify other accomplices and additional victims.
