Apple Expected to Unveil M5 iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro This Week

According to Bloomberg News, Apple is expected to unveil two to three new products this week, including a new iPad Pro, an updated Vision Pro, and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro, all featuring the next-generation M5 processor. The report says Apple will reveal these products via a press release and online updates rather than a live event, with the unveiling anticipated on Tuesday U.S. time, likely the evening of 14 October in Taiwan.

A Russian YouTuber released an unboxing video that purportedly shows the design and partial specifications, including the M5 chip, base memory starting at 12 GB, and adjustments for Apple Intelligence applications, while the iPad Pro branding on the back has reportedly been removed.

The Vision Pro is expected to receive an M5 upgrade and a new Dual Knit Band, with a Space Black colour option possibly introduced, and current supply-chain information suggests the 2-nanometre R2 auxiliary chip will not appear until the second half of 2026. Models with the M5 Pro and M5 Max are anticipated to launch in early 2026, alongside a 16-inch variant, with more substantial redesigns including OLED displays and a touchscreen in future generations.
