Emergency Chrome Update: Google Patches New Zero-Day Under Active Attack

Google has pushed an urgent security update to the Stable Channel for Desktop, bringing Chrome to version 143.0.7499.109/110 to patch a high-severity zero-day that is being exploited in the wild. The focal point is a vulnerability tracked as issue 466192044, with Google keeping the specific details and CVE identifier under wraps, listing it as “Under coordination.” The advisory also notes that an exploit for 466192044 exists in the wild, confirming active weaponisation by threat actors.

In addition to the zero-day fix, Google resolved two medium-severity issues, CVE-2025-14372 and CVE-2025-14373, each awarding a $2,000 bounty. The update is rolling out to Windows, Mac and Linux users, and administrators are urged not to wait for automatic rollout; users can verify protection by going to Settings > About Chrome to trigger the download immediately.
