SCAMMERS impersonating Microsoft have received assistance from executives of a call tracking company. Two former executives from C.A. Cloud Attribution Ltd pleaded guilty for selling infrastructure to tech support scammers and coaching them on evading law enforcement. They operated from 2017 to 2022, providing services to fraudulent companies mainly located in India. The scammers would use fake alerts to swindle money from victims and gain remote access to their systems. The executives will be sentenced in June 2026, facing a maximum of three years in federal prison.
