Missouri Regulators Seek Answers From Conduent Over 2024 Breach

MISSOURI regulators are escalating their response to a cybersecurity breach at Conduent Business Services that could affect millions of consumers. The investigation has centred on Conduent, a vendor that handles insurance documents, processes insurance claim forms and provides back-office support to insurers. The breach occurred in 2024 and Conduent first discovered it in January 2025.

According to the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance, the regulator first contacted Conduent on 17 March 2026 seeking details about the incident’s impact on Missouri insurance consumers, and more than six weeks later they still do not have answers. Regulators have begun asking insurers whether they were involved in any way in the Conduent incident, and, if so, how.
