GOOGLE Chrome has recently addressed 1,442 security vulnerabilities across versions 149.x, 150.x, and 151.x, surpassing the total fixes of the previous 23 Chrome versions combined, which did not exceed 1,000 fixes. Specifically, versions 149.x and 150.x accounted for 1,072 of these fixes, while version 151.x added another 370, with a significant portion discovered using AI technology. Google has implemented biweekly updates to address vulnerabilities more rapidly in response to evolving cyber threats.
The majority of vulnerabilities reported in version 151.x were discovered by Google and external researchers, with seven classified as critical. This initiative emphasizes transparency and proper public disclosure of security flaws for better tracking and review.
