Scalekit Raises $5.5 Million to Secure AI Agent Authentication
Scalekit has announced a seed funding round of $5.5 million, co-led by Together Fund and Z47 with support from several angel investors. Founded in 2024, the US-based cybersecurity startup offers an authentication stack designed to verify AI agent identities and secure both incoming authentication and outgoing agent actions.
Its solution targets Model Context Protocol servers and therefore enables teams to add an encrypted token vault and a tool-calling layer so AI agents can act on a user’s behalf in services such as Gmail, HubSpot, Notion and Slack, via an OAuth 2.1 authorization server. The platform provides modules including two-factor OTPs, email magic links, single sign-on and machine-to-machine service tokens, which can be integrated into applications within minutes.
Scalekit also supports step-up approvals and user-to-agent delegated consent to accelerate agentic workflows, with plans to extend its roadmap to include background agent support, granular authentication logs, deeper tool-calling and prebuilt connectors for more than 1,000 external apps.
