Minidoka Hospital Hit by Cyber Attack, Threatens 576GB Data Leak

CyberSIXT Evidence Panel Source marked as original reporting

MINIDOKA Memorial Hospital in Rupert, Idaho, said a cyber incident on Easter morning, 5 April 2026, limited imaging services and led to some emergency patient transfers, though the hospital and its clinics continued treating patients. In an April 17 social media update, the hospital said the incident temporarily affected certain internal systems and had not prevented it from safely treating patients.

Dysruption Hub reported that no group had claimed responsibility, but DataBreaches notes a listing on a site called “Blackwater” added on 17 April, the same day Minidoka posted an update. The threat actors claim that data will be leaked after 24 April and that they acquired 2,329,290 files comprising 576,599,359,488 bytes (576.599359488 GB); they provide no proof of their claims and do not state whether any data was encrypted.

Blackwater may be a new group or a re-brand, with no “About Us” information or contact details, and as of writing Minidoka is one of three listings on their site.
