Fraud Prevention Firm Resistant AI Raises $25 Million
Resistant AI has raised 25 million dollars in Series B funding, taking its total to more than 55 million dollars, according to SecurityWeek. The round was led by DTCP, with additional support from Experian, GV, and Notion Capital. Founded in 2019 in Prague, the Czech Republic, Resistant AI develops document fraud detection and transaction monitoring models that connect documents, transactions, and behaviours to identify fraud attempts.
The company says its AI-powered software can detect sophisticated financial crime, including laundering schemes, money muling, real-time payment abuse, synthetic identities, and generative AI document fraud, and it counts over 100 staff across Prague, London and New York. The funds will be used to expand threat intelligence capabilities and bring its offerings to new markets. Chief executive Martin Rehak said the tools are designed to help institutions combat AI-powered threats at scale.
