Samsung Sets Oct 21 Event to Unveil “Project Moohan,” Its Android XR Headset Rival to Vision Pro
Samsung has announced it will host a product unveiling on 21 October 2025 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, signalling a push into the augmented reality space with a new Android XR device. The device, developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, is widely expected to be the “Project Moohan” mixed-reality headset and is described as Samsung’s first commercial augmented reality headset powered by the Android XR platform.
According to earlier reports, the device codename Moohan will officially debut as the Galaxy XR, positioning Samsung’s offering as a direct competitor to Apple’s Vision Pro, Meta’s Quest series, and vivo’s Vision Explorer Edition. The announcement emphasises cross‑device integration within Samsung’s ecosystem and the potential to leverage Google’s technological foundation to create a cohesive AR environment.
