Kali Linux 2025.3 Launches With Fresh Features and 10 New Pentesting Tools
Kali Linux 2025.3 has arrived, bringing improvements across core workflows, extended wireless capabilities, and a suite of ten new pentesting tools. The release builds on the June 2025.2 update and refines how virtual machines are built, with revamped Packer and Vagrant integration and standardised pre-seed files to simplify automated installations.
It also restores Nexmon support for Broadcom and Cypress chipsets, including the Raspberry Pi 5, while formally dropping support for the ARMel architecture and ending builds for legacy devices such as the original Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Zero W.
The new toolkit includes Caido’s desktop GUI and CLI for web security auditing, Detect It Easy for file type identification, Gemini CLI with an AI agent, and krbrelayx for Kerberos relaying attacks, along with ligolo-mp, llm-tools-nmap, patchleaks, and vwifi-dkms to enhance pivoting, scanning and patch analysis. Kali NetHunter sees updates enabling internal monitor mode with injection on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and the release aims to boost productivity across virtual, embedded and mobile platforms. 24 September 2025.
