1Password has acquired Israel-based Apono, a company focused on just-in-time access governance for human, machine, and AI use. The acquisition is valued between $250 million and $300 million. Apono's technology dynamically grants temporary permissions based on policy, enhancing 1Password's identity security platform. This integrates with major cloud services and over 200 enterprise tools to provide a more comprehensive access management solution.
1Password CEO David Faugno emphasized that this acquisition completes their strategy to deliver secure access solutions by combining credential management and governance capabilities.
