Windows 11 KB5065789 update released with 41 changes and fixes
Microsoft has released the KB5065789 preview cumulative update for Windows 11 24H2, delivering 41 improvements, including new AI actions in File Explorer and bug fixes for Windows Update and Windows Sandbox. The update is part of the optional non-security preview updates schedule, which releases at the end of each month for testing ahead of the next Patch Tuesday, and does not include security updates.
It fixes a known issue where Windows Sandbox could become unresponsive due to the VmmemCMFirstBoot process consuming excessive CPU after sign-in, and it also resolves problems that disrupted Windows Update via WSUS and 0x80090010 Windows Hello errors on devices joined to Microsoft Entra ID domains after installing updates since June 2025.
Additionally, it adds AI actions in File Explorer to edit images or summarise documents outside the EEA and updates the Click to Do context menu to surface widely used AI-powered actions. You can install KB5065789 via Settings, Windows Update, and Check for Updates, or download the preview from the Microsoft Update Catalog, with the build updating to 26100.6725 once installed.
