Walmart lookalike sites lure shoppers into credit card fraud

A recent report has identified over 120 fraudulent websites mimicking Walmart to steal credit card information from unsuspecting shoppers. The scammers lure customers with significant discounts on name-brand products, particularly liquor. These sites, while designed to appear legitimate, have no affiliation with Walmart and utilize a shared WordPress/WooCommerce template.

Individuals who enter their credit card details are advised to immediately contact their card issuer, monitor their accounts for unauthorized transactions, and report the fraudulent websites to appropriate authorities. To avoid falling victim, it is recommended to be skeptical of unusually high discounts, verify web addresses, and use security tools to identify scam sites.
