Jamf to Go Private Following $2.2 Billion Acquisition by Francisco Partners
Jamf is set to go private after private equity firm Francisco Partners agreed to acquire the outstanding Jamf common stock in an all-cash deal, with the price per share listed as $13.05 in the agreement and described as a 50% premium to the stock’s 90-day average before 11 September 2025, according to SecurityWeek.
The transaction values Jamf at roughly $2.2 billion and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, at which point Jamf will no longer be publicly listed and will continue operating as Jamf from its Minneapolis headquarters. Jamf provides a platform to manage and secure Apple devices, including app deployment, updates and patching. Earlier this year Jamf announced the acquisition of IAM platform Identity Automation for $215 million.
Francisco Partners has invested in more than 500 technology companies and has raised over $50 billion in capital, with SecurityWeek noting that its 2025 cybersecurity funding activity includes more than 320 deals on its M&A tracker, including private equity involvement in more than a dozen.
