The breach was attributed to a hacker known as 'John Doe,' who claimed to have accessed the company's customer systems and stole personal data. Information potentially compromised includes names, addresses, birth dates, phone numbers, and partial payment card details.

Origin is currently investigating the breach with external cybersecurity experts and has notified law enforcement and privacy authorities. The hacker demands a response within 14 days to avoid leaking the data. Despite the breach, Origin states that their operations have not been affected.
