Microsoft adds agent threat detection to Defender, links GitHub

According to the Microsoft Security Blog, Microsoft is rolling out New Microsoft Defender capabilities in the Agent 365 tooling gateway to help security teams detect, block and investigate anomalous behaviour of AI agents with near real‑time protection using webhooks. The post also notes that GitHub Advanced Security now integrates with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, providing unified security visibility across the development lifecycle and enabling AI‑powered remediation to speed resolution.

A new data security demo introduces Microsoft Purview Data Security Investigations, guiding users through proactive risk assessment and reactive investigation of incidents such as breaches, leaks or fraud within a single integrated solution. The Loop, a new series, is highlighted as the channel for timely news and updates, with Microsoft Build events planned for 2–3 June 2026 in San Francisco. Microsoft emphasises an AI‑first, end‑to‑end security platform framed by Zero Trust for AI and backed by more than 100 trillion daily threat signals.
