CrowdStrike Insider Helped Hackers Falsely Claim System Breach

CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, terminated an insider who sold screenshots of their systems to the hacking group Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters. The leaked images included access to an Okta Single Sign-On panel. The hackers claimed to have accessed CrowdStrike's systems via Gainsight, a third-party vendor, but CrowdStrike denied any system compromise, stating the insider was responsible for the leak. The insider allegedly received $25,000 for the information. The incident highlights ongoing threats to Salesforce customers, with the hackers claiming over 1,000 victims in various data theft campaigns.
