The malware, described as 'vibe-coded,' allows even less skilled attackers to create sophisticated tools through simple AI prompts.
The script, riddled with AI fingerprints, facilitated the theft of sensitive Active Directory information and highlighted the challenge of detecting such unique attacks, as traditional antivirus signatures are ineffective. Huntress warns that the ease of generating such malware lowers the barrier for entry into cybercrime, pushing defenders to adopt behavioral analytics over rigid, signature-based methods for threat detection.
