MALWAREBYTES warns that scammers have targeted Winter Olympics 2026 fans by creating lookalike domains to imitate the official Olympic merchandise store, where Tina plush is listed at €40 and currently out of stock. In roughly the past week, the company identified nearly 20 lookalike domains designed to mirror the official shop experience, with the same storefront layout and product pages but different domain names.

Telemetry shows registrations emerging across multiple regions, including Ireland, the Czech Republic, the United States, Italy and China, indicating a global campaign targeting fans worldwide. On fake sites, Tina can reappear at hugely discounted prices such as €20, with banners shouting “UP & SAVE 80%,” a classic sign of bait to steal payment details, personal information or deliver malware.

The article notes that, with Milano Cortina expected to attract over 3 billion viewers, scammers have a large pool of potential victims, and Malwarebytes blocks these domains as scams. It also offers practical guidance to buy only from shop.olympics[.]com, watch for odd extensions like .top, and avoid entering payment details on unfamiliar sites.
