BOLD Security has emerged from stealth with $40 million in funding from Bessemer Venture Partners, Picture Capital, and Red Dot Capital Partners, a move that the New York-based company says will accelerate its global go‑to‑market plans and platform evolution.
Co-founded by CEO Nati Hazut, Bold relies on AI agents that run directly on enterprise endpoints to turn passive security monitoring into active protection, aiming to understand user actions, the data involved, and the surrounding business context in real time. The startup describes its models as capable of detecting risks and preventing incidents without latency, by performing analysis locally on devices so data is not used to train Bold’s AI models and customer-controlled evidence storage remains private.
Bold reports that its platform has already been adopted by large US enterprises, and intends to use the fresh funding to expand its AI capabilities and scale globally. Jeff Simon, Shutterfly’s CISO, is quoted saying that AI must be integrated into daily workflows in a way that is effective yet unobtrusive, allowing teams to move fast without adding new risks. 13 March 2026
