Google Integrates Nano Banana AI Editor into Search, NotebookLM, and Photos to Deepen Ecosystem AI
According to Google, the Nano Banana AI image editor is being integrated across its ecosystem, with native availability planned for Search, NotebookLM, and Photos so users can access AI-driven image editing without leaving their apps. In NotebookLM, the integration adds six new visual styles to the Video Overviews feature, including watercolor and anime-inspired modes, and introduces automatic generation of contextual illustrations from source materials plus a new microvideo feature called Briefs.
For Search, users will be able to access Nano Banana’s editing tools through conversational prompts in the Google App, such as applying a specific visual style or using the Lens tool to capture a photo and edit it with AI; this will launch in the United States first with English-language support and broader multilingual availability to follow. In Photos, Google has indicated Nano Banana will arrive “in the coming weeks” with details on how it will merge with storage and organisation yet to be disclosed.
The move underlines Google’s strategy to deepen user reach and embed AI throughout its services while enabling easier creation for both content creators and everyday users.
