DATABREACHES reports on Silent Ransom Group (SRG), a Conti offshoot that has increasingly targeted law firms, following a leak of material from two SRG servers covering 27 August 2025 to 29 September 2026. The leak comprises some 5,692 chat messages and accompanying materials, including discussions of victim payments, possible access methods, and pictures of assets.
Crystal Intelligence analysed the payments and money movements behind SRG’s operations, noting on‑chain evidence that supports the scale of activity but not precise totals, and describing a system of wallet controls and cash‑outs designed to deter tracing. The leak lists 27 named victims and the amounts allegedly paid, under the label “GOLD,” with a total of $206,950,000 reported for the six‑month period.
DataBreaches highlights that nine of the 27 victims disclosed breaches during 2026 that align with the leaked material, though victims have not independently confirmed SRG’s role in the attacks or that the sums were paid. Several firms’ notices to regulators are cited as supporting some payments, including high‑profile names such as White & Case, Goodwin Procter, and Squire Patton Boggs, with various amounts up to $30 million.
The post also cross‑checks specific chats against known incidents, noting a September 2 offer of $4 million from Hogan Lovells Cadwalader and references to other firms that allegedly made or rejected large offers. While the chat leak lends some corroboration for SRG’s claims, the page reiterates that payment confirmations remain unverified by victims. The authors indicate ongoing outreach to SRG for comment and promise updates if a reply is received.
