Ray Security Emerges From Stealth With $11M to Bring Real-Time, AI-Driven Data Protection
Ray Security, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup, has emerged from stealth with $11 million in seed funding, co-led by Venture Guides and Ibex Investors, as reported by SecurityWeek. The company’s platform uses an AI engine that learns and understands corporate data to apply real-time, context-aware protection, dynamically adjusting security controls as data is used.
It can revoke access, enforce MFA, or block sessions in response to unusual activity, including potential ransomware or insider threats, while the enterprise retains control over what actions the AI can take automatically. Ray Security, founded by Ariel Zamir (CEO), Eric Wolf (CBO) and Dekel Levkovich (CTO) in September 2024, plans to use the seed for product development and go-to-market expansion, aiming at mid-size to large enterprises in high-risk, data-intensive industries such as finance, healthcare and tech.
The funding round was co-led by Venture Guides and Ibex Investors, and the company emphasises that automation speeds responses without replacing human judgement. According to SecurityWeek.
