WitnessAI Raises $58 Million for AI Security Platform

WitnessAI has announced a $58 million strategic funding round, taking its total raised to over $85 million. The investment was led by Sound Ventures, with additional support from Fin Capital, Forgepoint Capital Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and Samsung Ventures, according to SecurityWeek.

Founded in 2023 and based in California, WitnessAI has built a unified AI security and governance platform that helps organisations govern and protect their AI operations, providing visibility into every AI interaction for both employees and autonomous agents. The company says its platform offers policy control based on behavioural intent to improve policy enforcement and to block multi-turn and prompt injection attacks before they reach AI agents.

WitnessAI notes that its platform is already used by large enterprises across sectors including airline, automobile, financial services, retail, telecommunication and utilities, and it will use the new funding to accelerate its global go-to-market efforts and expand product capabilities, with Qualcomm’s Tushar Gupta emphasising the hybrid future of AI governance.
