NIKE is investigating a possible data breach after WorldLeaks claimed access to the company's systems and data. The footwear and apparel giant said it is probing the incident to assess impact and verify the claims, adding that it takes consumer privacy and data security seriously. WorldLeaks said Nike was added to its Tor leak site on 22 January, and on 24 January published 1.4TB of data comprising 188,347 files.
The group is extortion-focused and has shifted from encryption to data theft to pressure victims into paying. WorldLeaks emerged in 2025 after rebranding from Hunters International, a ransomware gang active since 2023.
