Irregular Raises $80 Million for AI Security Testing Lab
Israeli company Irregular, formerly known as Pattern Labs, announced on 17 September 2025 that it has raised $80 million for its AI security lab. Founded by Dan Lahav (CEO) and Omer Nevo (CTO), Irregular says it has created a frontier AI security lab that tests artificial intelligence models to gauge potential misuse by threat actors and to assess resilience to attacks.
The firm says it is already generating millions of dollars in annual revenue and is building tools, testing methods, and scoring frameworks for AI security. It also states it is working side by side with major AI companies such as OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic, and has published papers describing its research into Claude and ChatGPT.
The company’s mission, as described by Lahav, is to ensure the future of AI is secure as it advances, by developing tools to test the most advanced systems before public release and to create mitigations that support responsible deployment at scale.
