Flare Raises $30 Million for Threat Exposure Management Platform
Flare raised $30 million in a funding round, taking its total funding to nearly $70 million, according to SecurityWeek. The round comprises a $15 million Series B extension led by Inovia Capital’s Growth Fund with additional support from Base10 Partners and White Star Capital, plus $15 million in debt financing from BMO. Founded in 2017 and based in Montreal, Flare provides organisations with intelligence gathered from the clear and dark web to help address high-risk exposures.
Its threat exposure management platform is described as helping organisations prevent ransomware attacks, data breaches and other security incidents by monitoring thousands of cybercrime communities and clear web threats, while leveraging generative AI, machine learning and data science for tailored insights.
Flare plans to advance its Identity Exposure Management capabilities, launched three weeks ago, and pursue strategic acquisitions, including testing leaked credentials via Entra ID integration and manual credential validation. The comments came from Flare CEO Norman Menz, as reported by Ionut Arghire on 5 November 2025.
