Hackers Say They Have Personal Data of Thousands of NSA and Other Government Officials

A hacking group that previously doxed hundreds of government officials has now claimed to have built dossiers on tens of thousands of U.S. government employees, including NSA officials, by mining its caches of stolen Salesforce customer data. According to 404 Media, the group’s member also sent samples of the information to verify the claim, and those samples were corroborated.

In addition to NSA officials, the person provided data on personnel from the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and members of the Air Force, among others.

The Telegram channel of the group, called Scattered LAPSUS$ Hunters, went down after the mass doxing of DHS officials and the apparent doxing of a specific NSA official, with further data that may relate to earlier Salesforce breaches. The group says there were “2000+ more records” and that it now has private data on more than 22,000 government officials.
