Copilot Is Coming to Your Living Room with New Samsung Smart TV Partnership

According to Microsoft, Copilot is expanding beyond PCs and smartphones to Samsung’s 2025 televisions and smart displays, bringing an animated, semi-transparent humanoid-like “beige orb” as a companion assistant for home use. The feature can be summoned via the TV remote microphone button or from the Tizen OS home screen, Samsung Daily Plus, or the Click to Search interface, enabling voice-based interactions.

Functions include movie recommendations, spoiler-free TV show summaries, and answering everyday questions, with personalised highlights for users who sign in with a personal account. The partnership covers Samsung’s 2025 Micro RGB, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame Pro, and The Frame series TVs, as well as M7, M8, and M9 smart displays, ensuring Copilot is accessible across a wide range of viewing contexts.

Beyond Samsung, Microsoft has signalled plans to partner with LG, indicating a broader expansion of Copilot’s role in consumer electronics. August 29, 2025.
