Website that leaked thousands of ICE agents’ personal information is down after DDoS attack

A website dedicated to leaking personal information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents was reportedly subject to a cyberattack that its founder believes may have originated in Russia. Dominick Skinner told The Daily Beast that it was only possible to speculate about who might have directed the attack, but a large amount of traffic on Wednesday had come from Russia, likely from a bot farm hosted there.

The attack is described as a Direct Denial of Service, where a perpetrator floods a network with superfluous requests to overload the system. The site, ICE List, had previously published personal information obtained through a whistleblower about thousands of employees. Read more at The Independent.
