Cloud Gaming for Free: Amazon Luna Relaunches as a Free Prime Perk

Amazon has officially relaunched Luna as a cloud gaming and streaming service with a refreshed design, and it now positions Luna as a free benefit for Amazon Prime members, debuting a new multiplayer mode called “GameNight.” At launch, GameNight features The Jackbox Party Pack 9 and reimagined versions of Tetris Effect: Connected and Angry Birds, with players able to control games directly via smartphones rather than additional controllers.

The update also includes an Amazon original, Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, where players face an AI-powered virtual judge modelled on Snoop Dogg. Beyond GameNight, Luna continues to support traditional controller-based gameplay and has expanded the Prime free game library to include titles such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and Hogwarts Legacy.

For Prime subscribers, this means access to top-tier AAA titles via cloud streaming without a separate Game Pass subscription, while the Luna Premium plan (formerly Luna+) remains available at $10 per month for a larger catalogue. The relaunch emphasises a casual, phone-controlled experience alongside major titles and acknowledges occasional latency or buffering challenges. October 25, 2025.
