Integrate Gemini CLI into Your Kali Terminal to Speed Up Pentesting Tasks

With the release of Kali Linux 2025.3, penetration testers and security professionals gain access to the Gemini Command-Line Interface (CLI), an open-source package that brings Google’s Gemini AI directly into the terminal for natural language–driven automation of common pentesting workflows.

Gemini CLI automates reconnaissance, enumeration, and vulnerability checks, transforming the traditional tool-chaining approach by executing a sequence of actions in response to plain-language prompts such as “scan target, enumerate services, then test for SQL injection.” The package occupies 12.04 MB and can be installed with the command sudo apt install gemini-cli, after which users can choose between an interactive mode or a “YOLO” mode that accepts all recommendations for rapid scans.

While it accelerates tasks, Gemini CLI keeps the human operator in control, allowing analysts to review, modify, or abort any step, with the AI offering context‑aware recommendations and plain-English remediation tips.
